Making Games

Happy St. Patrick's Day! At this meeting, we'll play lots of games, and the girls will see that you don't need electronics or expensive toys to have fun.

World Thinking Day

Since 1926, girl scouts all over the globe have celebrated World Thinking Day in February. Our celebration will be held at Christ Church in Mason, OH on Saturday, Feb. 20th -- there will be over 500 area girl scouts there!

Troop 42140 will be representing the country of Ireland. At our first meeting this month, we researched Ireland online and practiced some Irish Step Dancing. Next time, we'll put together our display and make some SWAPs.

Free Being Me

At our last meeting, we earned the Free Being Me badge, which is all about self-esteem. We spent some time looking at a “Photoshop Fakes” Web site, and the girls talked about the differences between before/after photos of models and celebrities who had been “photoshopped,” and how we should not judge our bodies according to faked images in the media. We did a “star” circle with yarn, made an Amazing wall, and took pictures of the girls with the wall. Then we had a dance party with songs like One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful.” The girls danced like crazy!
