Free Being Me

At our last meeting, we earned the Free Being Me badge, which is all about self-esteem. We spent some time looking at a “Photoshop Fakes” Web site, and the girls talked about the differences between before/after photos of models and celebrities who had been “photoshopped,” and how we should not judge our bodies according to faked images in the media. We did a “star” circle with yarn, made an Amazing wall, and took pictures of the girls with the wall. Then we had a dance party with songs like One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful.” The girls danced like crazy!

Cookie Sale Kick-Off

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Our troop will meet as usual this Thursday, 1/7, from 6P - 7:30P at Michelle's house. This will be the kick-off for our 2016 cookie sale, and we need parents to attend the first half hour.

We'll do some other fun activities to set cookie sale goals and earn the Meet My Customers financial literacy badge. We'll also be making some fun cookie treats, so I hope you can all be there.

Halloween Party Coming Up

Our third meeting was awesome! A few of the girls did a Flag Workshop last weekend, and this week our troop earned their First Aid badge and Safety Pin. So proud of you, Brownies!

We are pairing up with a Junior Troop and Brownie Troop for a fun Halloween Party in a couple of weeks for face-painting, birthday cake (Girl Scout Founder Juliette Gordon Lowe was born on October 31st!), games, crafts, and trick-or-treat with the parents. Wear your costumes and bring a bag for treats!
